The institute offers 10 undergraduate programmes, 16 postgraduate programmes and 6 diploma programmes, and students may additionally take a B.Tech Minor in AI & Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, IoT or Innovation & Entrepreneurship alongside their primary branch.

Academic calendar

As a UGC Autonomous institution, HITS sets its own academic calendar and examination schedule within the framework of its affiliation to JNTUH. The calendar fixes the dates for the commencement of instruction, mid-semester and end-semester examinations, practical and project assessment, and the semester breaks — and is issued to departments at the start of each academic year, together with the internal circulars that carry any subsequent revision.
