HITS received the Certificate of Excellence in Industrial Interface (Engineering Colleges) from the Global Triumph Foundation at the World Education Conclave 2024, and the Excellence in Student Outreach & Industry Engagement award at the ArdorComm Education Leadership Awards 2024 — both specifically for the strength of its industrial connections.

prototyping and incubation; an ongoing collaboration providing internships and access to PCB fabrication, embedded systems, 3D printing, welding, moulding and cutting facilities.

Scale of engagement

In AY 2025–26 HITS ran 30 dedicated sessions and hands-on workshops — an average of two to three interactive programmes every month — led by corporate leaders, technical specialists and life-skills experts. Visiting experts have included directors, station heads, CEOs and subject-matter experts from across Indian and international industry.

That engagement shows up in outcomes

170 students placed with IT sector companies in AY 2025–26, many more across core engineering industries, and 27 startups emerging from the Entrepreneurship Development Cell.
