Entrepreneurship Development Cell

The HITS Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was launched on 16 April 2025 to turn student projects into commercial ventures. In AY 2025–26 alone, 27 startups emerged from the cell.

The EDC was inaugurated at the HITS campus, Bogaram, Ghatkesar, with a session bringing together leaders from across the Telangana innovation ecosystem:

The launch covered the startup ecosystem and how to begin an entrepreneurial journey, building innovation and scaling ideas through technology, government schemes, funding and mentorship, and networking with entrepreneurs and professionals.

Startup Lifecycle Workshop

On 5 August 2025 the EDC hosted a one-day Startup Lifecycle workshop led by Ms. Nirupa Vijayakumar, Lead, Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, IIIT, at the HITS Auditorium. Topics covered:

On 21 January 2025, Mr. Ankur Gupta, Vice President at Northern Trust, led a session on financial discipline and optimisation — covering practical strategies for optimising financial resources, investment, debt management and budgeting, with real-life case studies.
